Are Energy Drinks Good!

Energy drinks are the ones canned or bottled beverages sold in the markets. These are consumed by people between the age of 18 and 30. Most energy drinks are carbonated drinks that contain large amounts of caffeine and sugar with additional ingredients, such as B vitamins, amino acids (e.g. taurine), and herbal stimulants such as guarana.

The energy drink acts as a stimulant, which is why energy drinks have names that convey strength, power, speed and sexuality. The sale of Red Bull in the United States is in millions. Red Bull was introduced to Europe in 1987 and to the United States in 1997. Red Bull, one of the most popular energy drinks, contains nearly 80 mg of caffeine per can, about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of brewed coffee and twice the caffeine as a cup of tea.But it is never indicated on the label and people cannot judge the amount of caffeine these drinks contain.

Giving kids energy drinks could be severely dangerous to their health. The high levels of caffeine and similar ingredients could be bad for a child’s heart which is not yet strong enough to handle the boost. Energy drinks are nowhere in the kid’s diet chart. This can cause rapid heart rate, heart rhythm disturbances, and in very rare situations, even seizures or neurological problems in kids and teens also.

So stop giving energy drinks to children, teens and yourself parents should look into this seriously and stop their kids from having drinks which can affect them but more over their health more.
